Here to help you see-through it all…

The days are getting warmer, and yet, there’s no stopping me from layering up. Why would I throw on an extra article of clothing instead of strip down to a bikini top you may ask? For one, yes, I live in Miami but I don’t walk around in just a bikini top like it’s 1995. And secondly, it’s all about subtly adding dimension to an outfit in an interesting way. Enter the sheer sundress.

I was able to get my hands on this flowy number during Nasty Gal’s recent blow-out sale (RIP NASTY GAL 💔). A sheer dress is flirty, romantic, daring, and there are so many ways to style it. Did you see all the transparent variations on the SS17 runway? Designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Del Pozo, Saint Laurent, and Galliano are all about it. You name it, from chiffon and tulle over bralettes, denim+tee combos, mini-skirts to slip-dresses…all working to achieve a modern freshness without being crude. You can wear one over swimwear during the day, and then throw it on over an outfit to take you through the night. Have you tried the sheer look? Are you thinking about it but not sure how to wear it? Let me know, I’m here to help you…out of your comfort zone 😉

  • I am living for this dress and hair!

  • Ali Rost

Beautiful you! I’ve never been brave enough to wear dresses like this, mostly because I wasn’t creative with what to put underneath. Coupled with your super chic hair and accessories .. it’s a fabulous look!

  • I love it I love it!!!!
This looks amazing I think I can pull off something similar.

  • That is a very pretty dress and I like how you are wearing it. I always stay away from sheer clothing because I never know how to wear it. This post helped so maybe I will go purchase a sheer dress or top.

I find it remarkable that people are willing to push the boat out away from conventional ideals and clothes away to something different yet brilliant. You’ve found your own unique style, and to be able to do that seems a brilliantly unique thing.

  • I would never be able to pull off something like that because I am not confident enough to wear a sheer dress. I did like your fashion style though. Very creative and hands down fashionable!

  • I am not sure I could pull this look off but you are totally rocking it girl! great photography too

  • You look absolutely stunning! I didn’t think this type of look would work, but, hats off to you, because it certainly does! x
    Lots of love,
    Marina Rosie xx
