“Only philosophers embark on this perilous expedition to the outermost reaches of language and existence. Some of them fall off, but others cling on desperately and yell at the people nestling deep in the snug softness, stuffing themselves with delicious food and drink. ‘Ladies and Gentlemen,’ they yell, ‘we are floating in space!’ But none of the people down there care.”

It’s a good day to float around in space…wearing the ✨Crystalline Jacket✨ by Brashy Studios, no less – one of my favorite streetwear brands. These pics were all shot in Never Sleep‘s Miami studio, where good tunes and creativity will clearly set you adrift. Scroll on down for more details on this look, or shall I say, float on down, but not before playing this song:

Strolled around sleepy downtown Miami one early Saturday morning, feeling like a million bucks, because not only was I in the hands of one of the coolest female photographers I know, I had a fresh head of silver grey hair and my 14 year old Adidas Gazelles on my feet. I had rescued them from the heaps of forgotten high-school era relics sitting in my old closet at Mom’s house in Puerto Rico. For those who don’t know, I had a collection of Adidas back in the day. All colors. How I wish I could find them all! They were the best for everyday kicks, plus I used to go to tons of ska/rocksteady (yep) shows, and they were the best to skank the night away in the pit (look it up, not to be confused with “moshing” or “being skanky” lol).

Anywho, these pics were taken just a couple days after my 29th trip around the sun (January 1st is my birthday) – and Yesi always manages to capture such beautiful detail shots and candids. Stay tuned for more and keep up with me and my silver hair antics on my Instagram!

This post is inspired by some of my favorite breezy-cool-always-fly-yet-sophisticated designers that I possibly couldn’t live without. It was a beautiful day in Miami and the lighting was dreamy so I took the opportunity to shoot this look myself. That’s right: timer-status.

This beatiful nude bodysuit is called the Skin XCross Bodysuit by the beautiful young and talented Puerto Rican designer Verónika Pagán. It can be tied several different ways and looks awesome paired with long skirts or highwaist denim. Verónika’s overall aesthetic projects a combination of minimalism along with modern yet classically feminine elements. She produces a range of lacy bralettes, chic swimwear and bodysuits, gorgeous dresses, and flowy skirts. LOVE IS YOU AND ME Concept Store in Puerto Rico carries VP along with a carefully curated selection of items by local and international designers. I’m obsessed with that store and its always-willing-to-please shop-owner Carolina Leonidas who posts fresh items daily on INSTAGRAM. Contact her directly for any inquiries and orders.

As for the rest of my outfit: the skirt is by ZARA and absolutely stunning head-turning clear boots by JEFFREY CAMPBELL. Last, but definitely not least, the flower crown. Flower crowns are always a constant source of inspiration for me, and this one is by CULT GAIA, whose flowers always look freshly picked, and exude such soft divinity. I picked this baby up through online jewelry and accessory store SHOP JEEN. This was on my head, all day because i’m obsessed, and later on to dinner and a movie. Needless to say, it came with looks of wonderment and slight envy.
