“Spread love, it’s the Brooklyn way…” – Biggie Smalls.

From Brooklyn to Miami in a few pictures. These photos were unplanned and very spontaneous. I happened to be wearing this tee with the number 86 (the year I was born) and BROOKLYN spelled out on the back, which is a place I adore and where I lived right before moving to Miami. Upon driving past this Biggie mural, the photo-opp was just too good to pass up. We hopped out of the car and quietly snapped a few pictures…I say quietly because this was kind of a moment of introspection for me.

I left NYC October 31, 2011 and moved to Miami alone with 3 suitcases and 2 carry-ons. It was an interesting time in my life during which I craved change: new home, new job, new blog, new friends, and new relationship. And today I find this mural of The Notorious B.I.G. in the middle of Miami, staring at this girl in a Brooklyn shirt recently transplanted from NYC. I find myself looking back at the time I spent living in The Big Apple on my own, something I never thought I could do. And though that city never sleeps, it’s like Biggie said, “It was all a dream…”

You look phenom hamster! So happy you came to New York and got to experience it. Especially happy about that chance encounter in our favorite store where a hamsterbond was formed.

    Stay fly.

  2. I seriously love your SWAG factor.
